The proof, as ever, is in the pudding. People that buy MacBooks love them…

Go to Amazon and look at the customer reviews. MacBooks consistently achieve 4.5 star ratings. No-one else comes close.

And here’s why:

• MacBooks feel amazing, work amazing, look amazing. They are works of art.
• MacBooks have the longest lifespans of all laptops. While your typical MacBook will last more than 5 years, others will struggle to last 2.
• MacBooks have genuine all day battery lives and stay that way for years. Other laptops need their battery replaced after 6–12 months.
• Apple’s butterfly mechanism keyboards are just incredible (once you get used to them – took me less than an hour).
• Apple’s after sales service is amazing.

Now, I am certain some other models popped up that can challenge, or get near this beast, but here it goes:

Of course, if you want the laptop to be quiet, it will thermal-throttle. However, it has such a powerful cooling system, that you can actually get every last drop of power out of the components. If you don’t mind a jet engine noise.

Then again, it’s like a noisy Bugatti. You want people to hear it.

It has actual mechanical keyboard (Cherry MX Brown), two sub-woofers, four speakers and Dolby certification. Trackpad is hidden under the num-pad, pretty sweet.

It also weighs 8kg, and needs two 330W power bricks…
